Take a deep breath - Skype
Which IM do you use?
When it comes to chating with one's friends/family staying far apart, I went through many transitions.
My first one was yahoo messenger. An IM which had a lot to offer and went into many upgrades to offer more but so far I liked it only for text messaging. It offers(ed?) a group chat where one can join to various Public rooms created by user or by system and interact people with desired interest. Actually those rooms are created based on a number of factors like Region, Religion, Sports, Music, Movies, Dating, Belief, Education etc.
Then I tried Rediff bol which I didn't find much of interest and has very less users across globe so limits the scope to interact with more number of people.
Third one would be MSN messenger now, Windows Live Messenger which I find very user friendly and attractive as far as GUI is concerned. Minus points for this could be, this is not used as widely as yahoo messenger and one can not leave (or migrate all) their friend's group. Though now the Windows Live meessenger gives you the option of communicating with your friends who are using yahoo messenger as well. But again it limits the possibilities and speed of course which is number one priority in IM.
Next I hooked up with Google Talk or GTALK which impressed me a lot with its quality of PC-to-PC voice calls. You can talk to anyone else for free who's online and has the Google Talk client with no lag as you must have experinced in case of other IMs. Integration with Gmail, Gmail has chat built right in, so you can easily switch between emailing and instant messaging with your contacts. There is much more that i can talk about GTALK but these are already here. I just love the simplicity it offers with wide range of usability.
If you like to know about some other jabber clients check this out.
Last and latest one, I used Skype and if I have to give points out of 100, I'll give it at least 100. Skype is software that lets you use your computer and internet connection to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world.
>>The Best quality of Free calls and video calls- When you and the person you're calling are both on Skype, the calls are free. Oh, and video calls are free too.
>>Call to International phones and mobiles at pretty cheap rates per minute.
>>Instant message when it's not a good time to talk.
>>Yes, I could give it 200 out of 100 but i deducted some points for its complexity and the memory it eats while running.
Till now I have been using every thing for free but I am thinking to spend on skype now. You might want to check out the Connection fee for SkypeOut calls and call-rates for different countries.
Please share your own experience with these or any other IM too. I know there are a lot of them out there.

Purple Haze by Jimi hendrix
The best guitar track in the world of rock!!!
Purple haze all in my brain
Lately things dont seem the same
Actin funny but I dont know why
scuse me while I kiss the sky
Purple haze all around
Dont know if Im comin up or down
Am I happy or in misery?
Whaterever it is, that girl put a spell on me
Help me
Help me
Oh I dont know
Yeah!
Purple haze was all in my eyes
Dont know if its day or night
Youve got me blowin, blowin my mind
Is it tomorrow or just the end of time?
Who knows?
Help me
Yeah
Come on now
Tell me
Tell me
Purple haze all in my brain
Lately things dont seem the same
Actin funny but I dont know why
scuse me while I kiss the sky
Purple haze all around
Dont know if Im comin up or down

Bang Bang - Kill Bill
I was five and he was six
We rode on horses made of sticks
He wore black and I wore white
He would always win the fight
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down.
Seasons came and changed the time
When I grew up, I called him mine
He would always laugh and say
"Remember when we used to play?"
Bang bang, I shot you down
Bang bang, you hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, I used to shoot you down.
Music played, and people sang
Just for me, the church bells rang.
Now he's gone, I don't know why
And till this day, sometimes I cry
He didn't even say goodbye
He didn't take the time to lie.
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down...
We rode on horses made of sticks
He wore black and I wore white
He would always win the fight
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down.

About 1st-january-2007
I never thought I will spend my first day of the year lying on bed.. whole day..
Yes... Right... Last night we had this 'New-Year' celebration. We all were having Vodka (Smirnoff, if i remember it right). I don't think I had more than 7-8 pegs, but i remember my last peg dint taste so mild. It was neat. I suppose, I had that peg accidentally. Then after some time i felt like to puke.. and all those tasty chicken went to commode of course, through mouth only. Now i was feeling very light.. And went to lie on bed and got sleep. In the morning when I woke up at around 9(guessing, it has been more than two weeks) I had a heavy head. I thought its nothing new.. it'll be over soon... And I had a glass of water and a lemon-tea. After 10 minutes I was looking into the holes of that wash basin... yeah i vomited again in the morning... Then again went to bed to get some more sleep... Woke up after 2 hours and with a dry mouth... I had little water again... Went to bed just to sit for 5 minutes and come to vomit that water into basin. It happened two-three times more. My Friends looked more worried than me, they went out and brought anti-vomiting medicine for me... (avomine). My friends thought its a RaambaaN (surely hits target), but it failed. Then they discussed and brought some fruits for me... I preferred oranges.. I had one orange first, waited then after my stomach ventilated through my mouth once .. I had another.. i started feeling better... and after 20 minutes i had one more orange and half a sandwich... it was around 6.30 pm by then... I had to leave...to go to my home... which will take around 1.5 hrs to reach..
And I shifted to this new place a day before only When I shifted there on 31st evening, none of my to-be room-mates were there, I lost their numbers, since i gave my cell to servicing.. Some how i met a person who had cell number of one of the room-mates, Saurabh. I called him and told my situation. He said he'll reach to me in another 1-1.5 hrs. And I ended up putting all my luggage in the gallery and asked Saurabh to just pull them in when he reaches. Finally I left from there telling the guards to just have a look on my luggage.( I was in hurry to attend this party :-P)
This party was a sort of little get-together at one of my friend's flat. I reached there and found that people are waiting for me only ;-(. I was under impression that they must have taken care of everything by now. So when I reached that place I had to take a friend with me and ride to the stores to buy drink and accessories. I am still not able to figure out why my body reacts this way to Vodka. Two-three weeks earlier i had Old Monk Rum (which can be considered quite hard if u compare with Vodka) and about 1.5 times of the quantity i had on 31st night. Vodka never suited me so well in my college days also. May be its just because it tastes very light with Sprite/Fanta and I underestimate its capabilities.
Anyway, 1st January was almost gone now... I called Saurabh and told I'll be coming now... he wasn't at home... I said OK then I'll have dinner and then I'll come... I headed to a nice Punjabi Restaurant DAL n ROTI... (which I'll never think of going alone, but it was only restaurant nearby. So I order a punjaabi thaali (that too is rare). I was feeling little uncomfortable sitting alone there. I finished my dinner and took a bus to home, where i met Saurabh for the first time. All of luggage was dragged to Dining room, nothing was missing :).
So after settling some of necessary things in cupboard, I went to sleep. I had to go to work in the next morning.

A reply from me..
I just replied to a orkut scrapbook spammer. Who scraped me in a bazilian language (probably Portuguese).
